Toledo Zoo Toledo Zoo News 2013

Temporary, like all of their Australian exhibit.

That's what I was thinking, but since they are bringing in such a large crocodile, I thought that it might be hard to keep moving it. Where will it go when the Australian exhibit closes? And is the Toledo zoo planning on bringing back Cuban crocodiles for that exhibit?

It makes sense considering they spent nearly a million dollars and almost 6 months to renovate the back section of the reptile house.

true. also, bragging rights. if the porosus is as large as they are saying, it will sell tickets and souvenirs. if he is 17', he is larger than Maximo, Errol and Maniac, all large porosus on exhibit in the states. my only concerns are that the exhibit is still on the small side, pool isn't deep and there is no underwater viewing. maybe the renovation includes a deeper pool and underwater viewing, but I doubt it. at least, Maximo and Errol have underwater viewing, even though, they are in outdoor exhibits.

A bit more info on the Saltwater Croc exhibit. The exhibit is entirely indoors with a 6 ft deep pool which does not have underwater viewing. It also features UV skylights.

The new wallabies are getting used to the new walkabout which opens may 24th.

The dingoes are in their new yard which is completely covered with tarps to let them get used to their new enclosure.
