A trio of Tasmanian devils are set to arrive later this month. An exhibit is being built on the Tembo Trail (another exhibit may eventually be built as part of the master plan).

Know Before You Go

Our construction updates often refer to specific locations and/or zoo exhibits.

Africa!
The Africa exhibit and adjacent overlook will be closed until Spring 2016 for the construction of the Giraffe Feed Deck and the Aerial Adventure Course. The Safari Railway is also closed during this time.

Flamingo Key
Flamingo Key is closed due to routine cleaning of the enclosure and sand. Due to the size of the equipment necessary to properly clean the exhibit, the Tiger Terrace area will also be closed to the public through Friday, October 9, 2015.

Penguin Beach
Penguin Beach will be closed from October 12-15 for maintenance.

Cheetah exhibit
The cheetahs have been relocated to a temporary exhibit space near Tiger Terrace. Starting on October 7 the cheetahs will be temporarily off exhibit for a few weeks.

Lions
Lions will occasionally be off exhibit during construction through Spring 2016.
