Toledo Zoo Toledo Zoo Species List

Their species aren't identified or/and no one has seen them in a WHILE
Tamandua, Allen's Swamp Monkey, and Mongoose Lemur have not been seen for a year, and the Guitarfish i was told last week got taken out

I actually know for a FACT that the Mongoose Lemurs were sent to another facility. The reason? Apparently they weren't a fan of the Ringtails, I believe? Oh yeah, and I also heard about Zebras coming back soon, however I have no idea on when they're coming.

I wasn’t even aware that they tried to integrate them. The one time I saw the mongoose lemurs, they were by themselves.

There is no valid reason for trying to mix lemurs with Ringtails. I would be very surprised if the zoo actually tried this.

I've seen that mix at Brookfield, so clearly zoos are willing to attempt this. No idea if that mix at Brookfield is still there or not, though.

Do you mean mixing with ringtails, or ring-tailed lemurs? I'm pretty sure the initial post meant the lemur, not the procyonid. Like @birdsandbats said, mixed-species lemur exhibits aren't uncommon at all. National has RTL with two other species

The way he worded it made me think procyonid not the lemur, that's on me. I know lemurs are commonly mixed with each other.

New Species- Edward's Pheasant (going to get a picture of that species tomorrow for my photopedia), Green Vine Snake

New Individuals- 1 Bald Eagle (one died).

Notes- The 2 baby Emperor Tamarins are now playing and are going away from dad more often.

Red-billed Leiothrix is now gone from the zoo to another zoo.

Actually, I would like to correct you on something. Theres actually 2 new Bald Eagles. However, the second one is behind the scenes. And the reason why the zoo hasn't said anything about the 2nd one is, again, because it's behind the scene. However I cannot remember if it's Ottawa or the one that came from Nature's Nursery. I just know it's one of the two.

New animals!!!
Southern Tamandua, Pied Tamarin, California Sea Lion.

Animals off exhibit: Barred Owl, Panamanian Golden Frog, Fer-de-lance (reptile house specimen, Museum specimen is still there though).

New Upcoming Additions! either wattled or african sacred ibis, will post it again once i have seen the poster again.

All of these are PUBLICLY ANNOUNCED or known
