Hey hey!
My (user)name is justGoron, I love playing games and visiting zoos.
When Planet Zoo came out in 2019, it rekindled a childhood love I had for zoos and animals, and ever since I have been frequently visiting zoos whenever I can.
It started with making a recreation of Safaripark Beekse Bergen in the game, which even got featured on the (local) news. While working on the recreation I would visit the zoo almost weekly, to take reference photos (at least until covid made this impossible).
I share progress on the project on my YouTube channel, though I've slown down progress a bit recently to focus on other projects on the side.

When working on other projects in planet zoo, I frequently use ZooChat as inspiration, so it was about time I joined
The past two years I wanted to expand my horizon beyond just the Beekse Bergen and started visiting many zoos across the Netherlands, and since I got a car also across the border. I've visited over 60 different zoos in this time, a fact which I am both proud of, as well as afraid to share because I might have a problem

I share videos of the zoos I visit on my YouTube as well, so Planet Zoo players can find some inspiration there. I will try to remember to share screenshots of the videos on ZooChat as well.
Other fun facts, I did my graduation project together with the Beekse Bergen, I developed some fun educational AR games you could play on your phone in the zoo. Sadly it was never put in the real zoo, but the games can be found here.
Besides zoos, my other hobbies include gaming (mostly open world adventure games like Zelda), drawing, arts/crafts, and I've dabbled in making paludariums for vampire crabs.
