Hi everyone,Sorry that I haven't been posting lately. We have tests tommorrow So i've had to study and were getting ready for christmas.I was just wondering what everyone's top 5 exhibits are

1.Asia Trail (National Zoo)

2.Kilimanjaro Safari (Animal Kingdom)

3.Amazonia (National Zoo)

4.African Savanna (Toronto Zoo)

5.Lion Camp (San Diego Wild Animal Park)

Hey there, school just finished for me. Please note of thiese I have only gone to Singapore.

1. Elephant park (Colonge)

2. Tiger exhibit at Singapore ( forgot name)

3. Jungle walk-way at singapore (also no idea what actual name is) but it was an awesome sight to see False Gharials come along and swim underneath you.

4. Leipzig elephant exhibit, underwater view is really awesome!

5. Jungle Palace ( Hannover)

I would have to say the best designed exhibit in terms of the environment for the animals and the realism of the exhibit for me has to be the Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom. When I went, the stunning attention to detail, the absence of any visible barriers and the amount of space given to all the animals, it was truly incredible!

The second would have to be Jungleworld at the Bronx Zoo. The primate exhibits are top notch, full of realistic looking fake trees, lots of vine ropes and crashing waterfalls. The Malayan Tapir exhibit is far too small and uninteresting, just basically a sandy beach with way too much area covered by water, and the glass fronted Black Leopard enclosure is also far too small, but overall it is a truly world class exhibit.

Flamingo exhibit which is part of 'Heart of Africa' at the San Diego Wild Animal park is third because the board walk allows for extreme close up viewing of the flamingos, the whole exhibit just appears completely natural and the birds have tons of space and the breeding mounds are so close to the boardwalk so that a variety of behaviors can be observed from the boardwalk.

Himalayan Highlands at the Bronx Zoo is fourth. The snow leopard enclosures are top notch, surrounded by rocky walls that give visitors the illusion of being in the Himalayas. The snow leopards are often very hard to spot due to their excellent camouflage. The red panda and crane exhibits are also excellent.

Dolphin Cove at Seaworld Orlando is fifth in my list because it contains a very large volume of water, and the design is a sandy lagoon with crashing waves surrounded by palm trees. There is a fake coral reef and a sandy bottom instead of the standard concrete bottomed pools. The dolphins have the opportunity to escape from other dolphins if they feel the need. The opportunity to interact and feed these animals is a unique experience too. It gives the illusion that you are on holiday somewhere in a tropical resort.

1. masoala - zurich zoo
2. big cats falls - philadelphia zoo
3. asian exhibit - leipzig
4. gorilla exhibit- woodland park zoo
5. african exhibit- toronto zoo

This is a list of exhibits which are my favourites (inncluding ones I haven't seen in person) (in no particular order)

1. Kilimanjaro Safaris - Disney Animal Kingdom
2. Congo Gorilla Forest - Bronx Zoo
3. Realm of the Red Ape - Chester Zoo
4. Pangani Forest Trail - Disney Animal Kingdom
5. Spectacled Bear - Zurich Zoo

The list of 5 exhibits which i've seen in person:
1. Kilimanjaro Safari - Disney Animal Kingdom
2. Realm of the Red Ape - Chester Zoo
3. Pangani Forest Trails - Disney Animal Kingdom
4. Islands in Danger - Chester Zoo
5. Cheetah Rock - Whipsnade Zoo

Here is a list of my favourites which i haven't all seen in person:
1) Congo Gorilla Forest - Bronx Zoo
2) Kilimanjaro Safaris - Disney's Animal Kingdom
3) Masoala Rainforest - Zurich Zoo
4) Asia Trail - National Zoo
5) Kingdoms of the Night - Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo

And here's the top five that i have seen:
1) Congo Gorilla Forest - Bronx Zoo
2) Jungleworld - Bronx Zoo
3) Budongo Trail - Edinburgh Zoo
4) Realm of the Red Ape - Chester Zoo
5) Spirit of the Jaguar - Chester Zoo

My list is quite lacking because I've never been to a zoo outside of Australia.
1)Orang-utan exhibit at Melbourne Zoo. It's simply stunning and give it a few years for the vegetation to takeover and it will look even better. I can honestley say that I've never seen an Orang-utan touch the ground in this exhibit because they have no need to go down there.

2)Hippo River at Werribee Zoo. It looks so natural and has three seperate ponds to add flexibility with keeping the hippos.

3)Melbourne Zoos gorilla exhibit. Seeing pictures from other zoos I'm suprised by how much shade and greenery this exhibit has. I always took it for granted that this is how a gorilla exhibit should look. And now Melbourne Zoo is doing a noble thing that instead of using their proven breeding male they are using a wild caught male that has never been seen mating and has no offspring to try and spread his genes.

4) Streets Creatures of the Wollemi at Taronga Zoo. I simply love this exhibit but it isn't as show stopping as the three I've already got so that is why it's 4th.

5) The Platypusary at Healesville Sanctuary. It is so unique and Healesville should be proud.

I'm glad that you made it top 5 personal favorites instead of 5 best because that would only lead to arguments.
