The only rule is that you can only choose well-known people over the internet for their zoo-related things.

1. Carsten Horn - hipposworld.de creator and awesome zoo animal photographer
2. Jack Hanna - Columbus Zoo Director (I know of his health problems)
3. Jenna Wingate - Cincinnati Zoo well-known hippo keeper
4. Robert Irwin - Son of famous Australian Zookeeper Steve Irwin
5. Dan Koehl - elephant.se creator and elephant trainer in Cambodia

Mine is more of a silly one, but Adam Parkzer, a known zoo enthusiast, if he isn't here already.

How do you know they are´not here already?
Most of us work behind firewalls ;)

I like to hope Dr. Michael Adkesson has looked over the Brookfield dreams and hopes threads, sometimes. :)

He seems like he'd be a lurker - he's outright said he likes hanging out in the underwater sea lion viewing at Brookfield because it's not always crowded, and it just gave me that vibe.

I know he tends to be a controversial figure in the zoo world, but I'd love to see the perspective that retired Detroit Zoo director Ron Kagan could bring to the table. I've watched some speeches of his, including his Ted Talk, and he always seems like a really intelligent, well-worded person. His arguments are always thought-provoking and compelling, even when I don't agree with them. For similar reasons, if not even more so since a lot of his work is so historically significant these days, David Hancocks would also be a very fascinating person to have on here.

If this question was posed a few years ago, my answer easily would've been the now late, great Bill Conway, former director of WCS and quite possibly the single most influential person in the development of the modern US zoo.
