If a new series is due to come out,how about we reflect on our favourite moments of this show.
1.Mezcal the Komodo dragon overcoming her anxiety(S3E2)
2.Napo and Goshi preparing to breed(S3E7)
3.Frank and Frankie the False gharial starting to feed(S1E5)
4.All the elephant births
5.Kitani and Magadi coming together(S1E6)

For me (in no particular order):
Bat Catching
The Doctor
Montserrat Tarantula Breeding
Both Giraffe births
Mili and Toni
Bali being health-checked

I'm in the United States, however I'm able to watch some episodes of the series because of you-tube. Here are the scenes that I have seen that I would consider my top five for the sereis:

1. The deaths of Hari and Bala (elephant calves) due to EEHV.
2. Subis and her babies (Sumatran orangs) escaping into Monsoon Forest.
3. The transfer of Topan and Jaya (tiger brothers) from their mom Kirana.
4. The arrival of Milli and Toni (sun bear pair).
5. The "friendship" between Niall and Boris (old male western chimp).

The first one seems a strange choice for a ' favourite ' moment!?

To some yes, but to me it's first because of the impact that it has. EEHV is commonly shown in the media as a death sentence to baby elephants, it's affects are well documented, and it's used by the animal rights corps as one of the reasons why elephants should not be in zoos exc. However, in The Secret Life of the Zoo, you see the impact that it has on not only the elephants, but also the keepers, who are powerless to stop it, and go days wondering what might happen to the animals that they spend so much time and give so much of their lives to. The keepers provided good arguments in my opinion for as to why the elephants are still at Chester even if the herd has lost so much young. I had also never seen the documented affects of EEHV before on film, and as someone who's favorite animals are elephants, it fascinated me very much.

My favourite parts are when you see a bongo in the background.
It is sad that the bongos are not featured since they are such a unique and and endangered species. It would be far more interesting than watching the penguins chicks being released into the big pool over and over again.

They could also do with featuring the Bactrian camels and the tuataras as you would have thought the hatching of an entire clutch would make good screen time? The camels have only made very brief cameos which exposure could interest the public on them especially since the zoo has actual wild camels not the domestic kind.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the zoo does have domestic camels.

They could still do with featuring the tuatara,i spent the whole of season 3 anticipating them

They are planning on doing some filming on them, they have a story but will keep that secret. Believe that they will start filming later in the year, but they should be doing it now! !!!
