Unfortunately this now seems par for the course in most of these types of programmes- the main reason I tend to avoid them completely.
 
Poor meerkats - it's not their fault they're everywhere..!

That's true, I completely agree with you. Plus all they really show is them trying to breed the animals. There is more to being a zookeeper than just breeding programmes.
