Toronto Zoo Toronto Zoo Animal Names

This may be a dumb question but I have never for the life of me been able to figure out where the Himalayan tahrs are in Indo Malaya. I’ve noticed they are not always added on species lists but I see them mentioned in passing sometimes, so If anyone could tell me where they are it would be greatly appreciated.

The are behind the Greater One Horned Rhino. You can't see them unless on the Zoomobile right now. I think you used to be able to walk around to the back, but not now.

They are on phase out. There has been talk of turn it into Markhor, and also having Markhor in Eurasia, and being able to manager a SSP breeding program with two exhibits.

In the master plan however there is talk of turning that into more area for the Sumatran Tigers

Thanks! Makes sense I haven’t seen them I’ve never taken the zoo mobile.

Just went to the Zoo for the first time in a few weeks and noticed they've started putting up signs with the animals' names on a few exhibits. Makes a lot of sense and long overdue, IMO!

Saw it for Flesh the Giant Gourami (in Malayan Woods) and Jonah the Hornbill (in Indo-Malaya).
