Toronto Zoo Toronto Zoo Animal Names

Well I could add Gorage and Jess as the Red-tailed black cockatoo's to the list in the Australiasia Pavilion

I think we should give names to the nameless :D Trouble for the Musk Ox, Kamili (means "Perfection"), Flora and Fauna for the impala :)

With woodchucks, Violet passed away, but five new woodchucks arrived this spring; their names are Charlene, Holt, Marie, Chell, and Dawn (just don't ask me to tell them apart!)
The cockatoos are actually George and Rita.
Meaghan, FYI Flora and Fauna were/are two of the zoo's clouded leopards (with Merri as the third)

I think he is one of the zoos surplus males. I am reviewing the Collections Magazine and he was listed in there with Rafiki and N'doki.

Mandrill - Saffron (M)
Marabou Stork - Gracie (F)
Reindeer - Comet (M)

Saffron was a female mandrill - she was born at the zoo and was moved to Dallas (with her half-sister Sudi) last year (?)
Reindeer Comet died at the end of 2007

The rest of the marabou storks are George (Gracie's mate), Artie (male, 2007 hatch), and Zuri (female, 2008 hatch, has a wonky beak), plus Gaston (m) and Ethel (f) in the Demo Unit.

Just a bit of trivia, one of the zoo's reindeer (I think she has passed away by now) named Mary was one of the reindeer who starred in "Tim Allen's Santa Clause"

There was also a snake (Boa Constrictor, I think) a long while back named "Thing It", or something similar. I believe s/he was surrendered to the zoo when it got too big.

Just wondering if the snow leopard cubs have been named yet. If not, i'd love to see one named Kucing which means cat in Indonesian
