Where did the polar bear, gizzly bear, cougers and gibbons offspring end up? If its possible to obtain that info.
 
Thank you for the awnsers to my question Ungulate, it is nice knowing tidbits of info like that, especially witht the zoo's 35 bday 2moro

As far as I know, I was reading posts earlier and I read that the surviving cub is now in Germany
 
Sorry to pester everyone again, but I was just wondering about this

These pairs were introduced for breeding this year and I was wondering if there are any confirmed or suspected pregnancies yet?

Shaka and Shani the zebras
Stripes and Twiga the giraffes
Luke and Shamwari the cheetahs
Rafiki and Mya the cheetahs
any of the p. horses
Rong Nen/Cassi/Kayah the red pandas
Simon and Sabrina the rr hogs

If anyone has info on them, that would be great

Well, its the end of August, so we should be expecting Ngozi's baby any day now!
 
I can say I don't think she will give birth until late September early October. She became pregnant in late Feb.

Is there any new births?
 
Now that you mention it, she is only 7 months along so I think we should expect an October birth
 
I was told that they found out she was pregnant on New Years Eve. So I'm not sure where you're getting February from.
 
I was told that her tests came back positive in Feb. Can't remember the source. Gotta do some digging.

EDIT: I think in was in the Collections Magizine somewhere.

Maybe she became pregnant in December (Around New Year Eve) and they were 100% positive by February
 
Born yesterday: one P. horse! (Not sure of the sex yet, but it is doing well, apparently)
Ngozi is due in the next few weeks (mid-September is what I've heard)

Stripes and Twigga (Giraffes) have been together for breeding this past week, with several copulations observed.
The red river hogs are on contraception so that they won't breed (they have too many relatives now ...)
I believe Mya the cheetah is confirmed to be pregnant, but I'm not sure of any others.

Great news about the p. horse especially, Toronto seems to have had alot of success with these since 2007

Is the mother Magda or Alexandra?
 
Good to hear she maybe got another chance after the tragedy earlier this year
 
Baby boy gorilla born late last night.
Baby boy horse born 2 days ago.

EDIT: I just noticed the previous post about the horse. But I didn't see anything yet about the gorilla. The gorilla area is blocked off all day today and for the next few days as well. The keepers were hoping for a female, but it was a male and so far it appears healthy. Enjoy! :)

Do you know if she is taking care of the baby alright or have the keepers intervened?

Ngozi was parent raised and has seen her two sisters being parent raised btu she is pretty young (11 years old) so im just worried

That's an interesting question, especially since they have the area blocked off. I wish I knew the answer as well.
