Actually, by looking at map I thought where it said Chinese Garden that it would be the memorial would be built.

At the zoo they have signs point in the directions and the distance and stuff like that, which would Interfear with the snow leopard exhibit. The zoo has yet to release a finilized plan of Eurasia, therefore these plans just show us what the zoo is intended on producing.

I also think that the blue dotted line is the zoomobile route

Neat plans. Too bad there not very detailed.
Or have bigger text :D

I'm really looking forward to the final product. I've always felt although I have always liked the Eurasia area, it could do with a facelift. I'd love to see real rocks in the goat exhibits, maybe a waterfall in the Siberian Tiger exhibit and a stream for the Snow Leopards and dholes. Maybe a nice "lake" for the P. Horses, etc. Next time I'm at the zoo, I'll have to check out the plans for the Tundra, etc.

wow!!!Thats awesome, thank you so much guys!It weird that we have thought of these things and then,poof...there on draw ups.For example,I said that maybe they should split Eurasia into 4 parts.Although they didi'nt make the exact biomes, they still split it into 4.And Meaghan had a dream about the grizzly bears having a meadow and a mountain, and it may come true!I really hope toronto gets the pandas and the golden monkeys but not to be a downer but if they do come,im thinking they may be Eurasia Phase 2.Even though the zoo has th public and china on its side, its the federal goverment who isn't uite with the whole idea.Again, thank you for posting these plans

When I found the site map I knew you guys would like it, specially because you guys were talking about how the giant panda exhibits might look.

What a coincidence lol. Eurasia Probably wont start until 2010, all the projects are back logged so they will take twice as long to complete, which really sucks!

I wonder if Toronto Zoo will open anymore exhibits after all these thing,i certainly hope so

I think there may be some smaller updates like the orangutans but other than that, nothing major, the zoo needs to get out of debt!

Fingers crossed :D I wonder what the names of these projects will be. I've had some floating in my head. Ontario Wilderness, for Mixed Forest, Boreal Forest for the Boreal area (I know, not too original). I can't decide on the Eurasia area, but I like existing name (Eurasia Excursion).

The Canadian Wilderness Project is what they have now.

The Tundra Trek is going to be 5.4 acres, Mixed Wooland 6.72, Borel Forest 6.35, and Eurasia is around 20 acres. accordin to the blured numbers on the maps.

really, wow! How big is the Eurasia right now do you think,15 acres?

Where do you thinkthe babirusa will come from if they do?Im thinking Bronx,San Diego or Los Angeles?

just wondering if anyone knows how Tundra Trek is coming along and if anything new there has been built or happened

I will be at the zoo next Tuesday or Thursday, depending on the weather, and I will post comments and picture when I get the chance, so Thursday through Saturday.
