Rather then using random pages, we should just use this one page to talk about recent animal aquirings, deaths and departures

Perfect, I have always been thinking if I should subdivide the things we talk about on the other threads! I am now actually in the means of typing up a list of animal births since when I became a member back in late 2005!

Excellent idea! So here we go ..., what is the latest news on Toronto Zoo animals (after sable antelope calf and Matschie's tree kangaroo preggie?)???

Actually Chrisse (Tree Kangaroo) is not pregnant, they hoped she was and then signs showed otherwise.

The sable antelope calf is male and it is doing very well as Savanna is taking better care of this one then her first born

I was there yesterday and they weren't on exhibit, but they may be today!

That's exciting!!! I was suppose to go today, but I rather wait til the summer, when the Tundra Trek opens. :D.

Aren't the stable antelopes located in the huge African Savannah exhibit? If so, wouldn't it be hard to spot them?

Each species of animal in the African Savanna has its own exhibit, with the exception of some birds in with other animals, so it isn't hard to spot any animal, were you thinking of a large open range mixed exhibit?

Yea, I thought they were all put together. It certainly gives the illusion of one whole exhibit. I usually only spot the zebras, near the cheetahs and baboons. Next time I go to the zoo, where might the stable antelopes be?

Right after of before (depending on which way) from the lions, next to the hyenas and giraffes. I think it looks like one exhibit to which is why it has won awards!

I've never actually seen the sable antelope atToronto Zoo but I know where you mean. I think you see it just as you come out of the lion tunnel

I don't think the baby will be going out for a few more weeks still. In the meantime, his father (Puff Daddy) and 'aunt' (Millie) should be out.
