I completely agree! Finally showcasing the actual exhibits was a shock to me! I was so proud.

I might just not be looking clearly, but where are the pictures of the actual exhibits? is this just of the animals along the side? or am i just being stupid:)

Zack

I may be mistaken, but the only pictures I saw of the exhibits were on the main page. Under the big picture there is the option Region & Pavilions. There is one main picture of each exhibit. Are there any more I missed?

No it was just the Pavilions and regions area, sorry guys!

New Guinea Singing Dogs

Could someone tell me if Toronto Zoo still has New Guinea Singing Dogs or if any other zoo in canada has them?? Also, we've been wondering whether Jyllands Park Zoo, or any zoo in Denmark for that matter, has New Guinea Singing Dogs? They may be called New Guinea Dingoes. As a matter of fact, if anyone can confirm European population of NGSD, I would really appreciate it. We're starting to do a worldwide captive population count and ISIS records are not accurate at all. The only way to get an accurate count is by asking folks like yourselves who know the zoos and their contents. Thanks very much, oldsingerman20

The Toronto Zoo has 1.1 New Guinea Singing Dogs. All the other information I do not know.

Has anyone seen the new cheetah cubs? Are they on exhibit yet? I was at the zoo a couple of weeks ago on a beautiful day and they weren't out and I was super surprised.

I can't wait to see them!

They cheetah cubs have been on exhibit for a few months now, they must have been hiding when your were they, they don't look much like cubs anymore, more like small cheetahs.

Singers in Europe

Is there anyone on the list who could help us out with a Singer-In- European-Zoo count? It is so hard to get an accurate figure. So far outside of the USA we only have two at Toronto Zoo and they're both sterile. How many are in Europe??? And then I think that's about all except for the ones in the USA. None in Australia anymore. None in Russia. None in Asia. None in Africa or South America. Maybe even none in New Guinea, we hope that's not a true statement!! osm20

That's awesome:) I wonder where they will go? what will the habitat look like? How far away do we all think this is? 1 year? 3 years?

The Pandas will go where the camel exhibit is now in Eurasia. The spare camel exhibit not main.

Current figures in Europe.....

Berlin Tierpark (Germany) 1:1

RSCC (Sandwich, Kent, UK) 4:2. Had 1:1 and 3:1 pups born in the past year.

Jyllands Park Zoo (Denmark) 1:3

Went to the zoo this past Friday, heres a few updates:

- Concave Casque Hornbill has been moved again from the Malayan woods to the bald eagle exhibit at the entrance.
- Looks like Wild Turkeys are going to stay in the old Owl exhibit at the Americas pavillion because someone was putting up a new name/picture plaque for them
-African Otters were extremely active and in the exhibit together. I can't remeber if these two are related or not, but lets just say at one point they were very "frisky" with each other lol
-Egyptian Bats were off exhibit and construction was being done on their exhibit. A large cave has been erected in the left corner of their exhibit and a new mural has been painted on the back wall

On a funny note, one of the elephants (not sure which one, but it was the one with the piece missing out of her ear) sprayed the crowd watching her with water from her trunk

I was in the animal care center today, and heard some rather sad news that Rengat the Sumatran Tiger is very ill and will probably die in the very near future.
