Thanks to World Penguin Day the zoo posted photos and info on all 27 penguins in their care. I was able to use that information to work out who is who and how the are related. The potential hybrids will be banned from breeding until DNA tests can prove they are pure bred African and not mixed with Humboldt's. FYI for those interested in identification of those they take photos of the zoo also posted who wears what arm ids. Now you can tell them apart too.

The breeding pairs right now sit at Eldon and Chupa which are high priority, Thandi and Matata who are to be repaired after this year. I don't know that there is a good option for Thandi here. I wouldn't be surprised if they breed again. With five three year olds (four males and a female) I wouldn't be too surprised if we see some transfers out.
