Toucans, aracaris and toucanets in captivity

As far as species I've seen recently:

Toco Toucan: San Diego Zoo (saw 1), Woodland Park Zoo (saw 1)

Plate-billed Mountain Toucan: San Diego Zoo (saw 2)

Curl-crested Aracari: San Diego Zoo (saw 1), Seaworld San Diego (saw 2)

Guanian Toucanet: San Diego Zoo (saw 2)

Species I remember from farther back:

Keel-billed Toucan: Sacramento Zoo (2), Fresno Chaffee Zoo (2)

Chestnut-mandibled Toucan: Oakland Zoo (1)

Chestnut-eared Aracari: Fresno Chaffee Zoo (1)

Just before Christmas I was at Potter Park Zoo in Lansing, MI and saw three green aracaris, might be new there, i don't recall seeing them there back in the summer when we were there last

- Pteroglossus inscriptus - Lettered aracari
Captive status : The species is at the moment not kept in any public collection but at least the subspecies P. i. humboldti is kept at a privat breeding center in the Netherlands.
Breeding results : Sofar I didn't find any information about the captive breeding of this species.
Photos in the Gallery : There is only one photo of this species in the Gallery, being this one :
Lettered Aracari | ZooChat

New (sub)species for our Gallery ! MagpieGoose just uploaded a photo of a Humboldt's aracari in the Pairi Daiza Gallery. Sometimes considert being a subspecies of the Lettered aracari - like in this thread - many others see it as a species on its own.
Photo can be found here : Humboldt's Aracari - ZooChat

Both photos you link show a Humboldt’s aracari. That species has an entirely black lower mandible (evident in both pictures), as opposed to true lettered which do not.

Thank you for clearification so now we need a picture of the Lettered aracari ;) !

- Andigena nigrirostris - Black-billed mountain toucan
Captive status : Rare species in captivity and at the moment not kept at all in Europe. Formerly kept at 2 European collections : Vogelpark Metelen and Zoo Antwerp.
Breeding-results : As far as I know never bred in captivity.
Photos in the Gallery : No photos of this species in the Gallery.

Thanks to @Giant Eland for uploading the first photo of this species in the Gallery ! The photo of this first specimen ( see bird - ZooChat ) was taken at Bioparque la Reserva in Colombia.

- Aulacorhynchus albivitta - White-throated toucanet
Captive status : I've no information about captive keeping of this species.
Breeding-results : Also ( of course ) no information.
Photos in the Gallery : There are no photos of this species in our Gallery.

A privat breeding station ( Twitter Breeding ) anounced that they now bred the species. The naming of the subspecies made me however suspicious being Alaucorhynchus albivitta atrogularis. This subspecies is unknown to me but there is another species, the Black-throated toucanet bares the name Alaucorhynchus atrogularis so not sure which of the 2 species has been bred at Twitter Breeding.
They also anounched the breeding of the Chestnut eared aracari, a species which they already had bred before. Here a video of the recently hatched chick :

Most authors treat atrogularis as a full species now, but Clements has it as a subspecies of albivitta in their 2017-2019 checklists, and prior to that as a subspecies of prasinus (which was the standard treatment formerly).

So they are probably just using Clements as a reference.

Does anybody knows the exact number of species and subspecies of toucans and aracaris currently kept at the DWA ?

Buin Zoo has recently bred the Toco toucan.

In the past they also held keel-billed and Swainson's toucan.

I remember seeing Green Aracaris, don't remember if at Buin or at the Santiago Zoo.

In 2019 Zoo Ave in Costa Rica held specimens of Black-mandibled Toucan, Keel-billed Toucan, Collared Aracari, Fiery-billed Aracari and Blue-throated Toucanet. Not quite every species present in CR, but most of them. These were all 'rescued' animals, however, so of sure of status now.
