Trentham Monkey Forest Trentham Monkey Forest

How do visitors find the monkeys in 60 acres? Is the whole area available to them? Do they congregate at certain feeding points or something?
When I visited they were pretty easy to see, the younger animals are very active and there are feeding demonstrations as well. I don't know if they have access to the whole area but it certainly didn't feel like 60 acres at all.

They are quite easily seen in the first part of the wood, as Fallax says. As far as I know they have access to the whole 60 acres. Last I heard was that there are two groups, each having their own territory.

Trentham Gardens, just to the north now has a small animal collection. I have not been but ZTL lists

Aberdeen Angus Cattle
Eurasian Beaver
Herdwick Sheep
Jacob's Sheep
Soay Sheep

When I went there were a couple of areas where they were feeding and then the groups moved around quite a bit.

While you can’t walk in every area the paths weave through most of it so there’s plenty to see. There’s a lot of area behind in the woods they can also access.

Really enjoyed my visit will be heading back this year. Was quite a mellow experience and paid off to sit and watch what they got up to.
