The last Mhorr gazelle which lived in Bouhedma national park (located between the governorates of Sidi Bouzid and Gafsa) in Tunisia died some time ago, the Tunisia wildlife Conservation Society said without giving an exact date.

It just means the species went locally extinct in Tunisia, rather than fully extinct. It might be clickbait, or maybe poor translation, or improper understanding of the nature of extinction.

If it turned out to be clickbait, u apologize. I just saw several reputable scientists share this on my Facebook and LinkedIn news feeds, so even after reading it, I assumed it was at least somewhat reliable. As @Crowthorne alluded to, it would be localized extinction. If you feel my thread on this article doesn't add value to the forum, feel free to remove it, if not that is good.
