tv docs from years ago

i have many hours of tv documented video from zoos going back years im thinking of uploading, they was on video tape and taped from the tv which i have now converted to dvd.
Before i do this im wondering what the laws are about this sort of thing, most are from bbc and itv and some from discovery, was then hoping to post a link to them on here. As im sure they would be of interest to some people here.

You can post short clips if they're considered fair use, for example if you were writing a review or creating a satire. You can't post long clips or whole programmes, in short, that would be illegal. Whether you can get away with it is another matter - I'm sure we've all seen whole programmes uploaded to YouTube.
