Twenty questions

@nanoboy- As I asked earlier, is your mammal large?

P.S. You said we couldn't do Dinosaurs, does that mean we can't do other prehistoric creatures? Also, I wouldn't start asking people questions until they say they have an animal first.

Is this how you play Twenty Questions in Australia? It's very confusing. We have a tradition of one person being questioned at a time, which has a certain refined elegance to it.

;)

When I was in elementary school we used those little round machines called 20 Questions. I was happy to discover that it didn't know what a Thylacine was;) I believe it usually guessed Tiger.

I think in Australia the players all just yell questions at each other until they start breaking beer bottles over each others heads. The whole road chase scene in Mad Max II started as a game of twenty questions I believe.

The answer is always "kangaroo" anyway so I don't suppose it matters.

Hmmm... Is it 20questions per person, or 20 questions in total pertaining to 1 person's animal?
it was twenty questions per person in the original rules but he changed them to make them clearer and yet managed to make them less clear.

Well done nanoboy ;)

This is the online Zoochat version that can have multiple players, lest one player is not posting regularly. It is designed for those with agile minds and the ability to read and follow threads. :D it also assumes that if you are guessing, you also have a secret animal to be guessed.

Thylacine, how large is large? Maybe be more specific. It is not a kangaroo by the way.

@Maguari, is your animal found naturally in the wild in North America?

Oh and if you aren't following your own posts, I am, because you actually asked Chlidonias if his animal was large - not me. ;)

he didn't say he asked you earlier, he just said he asked earlier. It seemed fairly obvious that he was just saying he asked @Chlidonias that question earlier and now he is asking @nanoboy the same question.

Yes you are correct. Apologies Thylacine.

Still, define large.

Actually I made a mistake and that question was for nanoboy. I was replying to your post so you must have been in the back of my mind and I accidently said @Chlidonias instead of @nanoboy.

@nanoboy- Is it the same size or bigger than a Grey Wolf?

I think I read a definition somewhere that a large mammal is any mammal exceeding 40kg. I thought this seemed like a relatively low weight, but apparently barely 10% of mammal species are classified as large using this definition.

Just to be clear, I am not playing the game, just observing it.

@nanoboy- As asked earlier are Dinosaurs the only prehistoric animal we can't use or are all prehistoric animals off-limits?

fair enough, my misinterpretation then

yeah he doesn't seem very good at answering questions about his game's rules, unless it's a question of mine and he's attempting to show that I'm not irritating him :D

@zooboy28: does your animal weigh over 40kg? :p

Ok well since nanoboy didn't answer and it specifies only no dinos in the rules I'm going to say that I have my animal. And yes, since I already said it, I'll tell you it's Extinct. That narrows it down to a few billion species:D

No no, I need someone to review the rules to make sure that simple minds can understand them. :D

Hmmm... extinct animals are ok, except dinosaurs. So a mammoth is ok.

Is my mammal large, as in is it over 40kg? Yes it is. And yes it is bigger (taller and heavier) than a grey wolf.

@zooboy28 is your animal a bird?

zooboy said very clearly that he did not want to play but just wanted to observe, Chlidonias was just joking with him. I don't know where you got a mammoth from but my animal is not a mammoth.

@nanoboy- Is your animal a Giraffe?

My mammal with blood, 4 legs, that is not a rodent, that is heavier than 40kg is not a giraffe.

@zooboy28 is it a New Zealand bird?

@Thylacine, is it a mammal with 4 legs?

Is your animal a thylacine? Wait, it can't be that, because you don't think they are extinct. :p

That's 2 questions in 1 but yes it's a mammal with 4 legs.

Again, zooboy doesn't want to play.

@nanoboy- Is your animal smaller than an elephant?
