Also it doesn't seem fair that some people who have just as "worthy" jobs (who judges that?) on equal or lower pay don't get the discount.

I wouldn't argue with that, I wasn't petitioning for myself* -I'm just a little wary of with arbitrary differentiation and drawing of lines as there's always a danger of "unfair" consequences. Maybe I'm sometimes too much of an idealist.

*Where would you stand on teachers of accountancy though?

And this is a worthier reason than a previous one. Anyone remember "Red heads get in free on National Orang-utan day"? That seems a fair bit more luck of the draw than the current situation...

Who's to say the red heads (some of who may have been picked on/mocked for years) don't deserve a break more than the generally exalted firefighters?
