Twycross Zoo Twycross Zoo News 2023

A new viewing window has been installed in the gorilla house. As some of you might know one of indoor the viewing area windows was boarded up but now a new one has been installed, allowing for more people to see in and to stop crowding around one window.

Does anyone know how it works if you have a Chester pass, and can use it once for Twycross?

Twycross states on the website "you must pre-book", but I can't see anything anywhere for if you have a pass to another zoo where you get a free Twycross visit?

My friend used his Chester pass to get into TZ, they just scan it and let you in. I don't think you need to pre-book as my friend didn't when they visited the zoo.

Thanks!
That's kind of what I thought, as it's a free entry, and like a regular Twycross annual member you don't have to pre-book. But just thought I'd ask, for a smooth sailings at the booths, hehe.

I hope you enjoy your visit :). Anything you want to see in particular?

I went on a Colchester pass, just turned up and they put it through, I didn't pre book. Got a hand stamp too in case of needing to go out and back in etc.

Not really, just a nice day out, hehe.
We went October 2022 + New Years Day 2023, and haven't been since. So we thought we'll use our Chester pass for a next visit, it's the only zoo that comes with the pass we can actually get too, so best not let it go to waste.

Bit sad the Lemurs have all gone though (apart from the Red Ruffed ones?).

The Red Ruffed Lemurs are off show at the moment. Make sure to look out for the baby Pileated Gibbon. Quite often I see her and mom in the tunnel but if you get to the right angle you can see them. The baby is now climbing on the mesh of the tunnel and is exploring for herself.

Which lemurs did they have before

We saw the Crowned Lemurs October 2022, and on New Years Day 2023 the enclosure was empty. Thanks for the baby Pileated Gibbon tip!
