There are many more animals I would love to photograph but the cost as with everybody plays a great part in it
I hope everyone has a great 2010 in the zoo’s they choose to visit and how about putting your wants on here to see if other people know where to find them.

Well Howletts has loads of clouded leopards and the nearby RSCC has New Guinea singing dogs which are pretty much the same as dingos lol. I think Lympne has Scottish wildcats, whilst Edinburgh has Stellars sea eagles and koalas. Also, Bristol has sand cats.
No one in Britain has Grizzly bears, and I think only a couple of zoos in Europe do.

I know some of the animals are pretty hard to find as this is the reason I've asked for help. Just had an E-Mail from a old friend who as said while away working he heard a rumour (only a rumour) that Arbian Leopards could be heading to the midlands by late 2011.
The source of this info is very, very reliable as they work within the world of wildlife welfare has anyone else heard of any new animals heading to the Midlands.

Sounds intriuging, but only a rumour, but where exactly?, Dudley, WMSP or Twycross?
2011 though is a way ahead in the future, so who knows

Maybe Twycross due to their situation with the Amurs?

Fairly common, but not easy to see (particularly if you live in town).

This website I think will be useful to you: ZootierlisteHomepage

SAND CAT - London zoo, Marwell zoo

London didn't have Sand Cats at my last visit - they did for some time but have now gone (unless they've come back in the Children's Zoo?).

Ok then. In NZ they're pretty easy to see (ironically we probably have more of them running round our country than you do)

You're possibly not too far wrong there!

For the record, the last time I saw a Stoat was as it ran across the entrance road to Yorkshire Wildlife Park!

I'm suprised no one has mentioned the fact both the New Forest Otter, Owl and Wildlife Park and Chestnut Centre have Ermines and Scottish Wildcats.

Chestnut didn't have stoats when I was last there (don't like the name ermine - too much linked with the fur for my liking!).

(I did mention on my list that Chestnut has wildcats! :p )

Bobcat or Canadian lynx can be seen at Trotters

These are two different species. Canadian lynx are kept at trotters. There are some bobcats at the Cat survival trust in hertforshire.

From their website
Bobcats
Bob (male) at 26 was our oldest cat and surprised us all when six years ago he fathered kittens. He was the last surviving cat from the very early days of the Trust when it was based in Stevenage. He had come to us from Calgary Zoo via quarantine at Ravensden. He died peacefully on 24th August 1999 having shown no sign that his end was near.
The others live in two single-sex groups because we have no room for any kittens that might otherwise result.
On Saturday, November 28th 1998 Florence, one of our older bobcats, died suddenly. She was seen to be unwell and was isolated for treatment but before anything could be done for her she died. It is believed that she had a heart attack.

It doesnt say how many kittens they have nor does it mention theiri mother
