Chester Zoo UK Wildlife

The British Wildlife Centre displays only basically UK species and has a fascinating display of them. They have badgers which were really active and out and about in their enclosure, active and very visible Harvest mice, red fox again extremely active, marsh frogs, adders, otters, barn owls, brown hare, red deer, fallow deer, Orkney voles, hedgehog active and lively, wild rabbits, active grey and red squirrels etc.
A fascinating collection which I would recommend highly.
Anotehr collection along similar lines is Wildwood in Kent with beavers etc on show. So there are lots of places where we can view British native wildlife within the UK.

The Harvest Mice could possibly replace the Hissing Cockroaches i the Bat House... fit in with an Islands in Danger theme?
