Unusually tame wildlife

In my aunt's garden there have been lots of hedgehogs over the years. Most of them have been very defensive (good for them). However, some have allowed me to pick them up without protesting (I had to, they wouldn't leave otherwise). Food has been their prime motivator for this behaviour.

Is this something to be concerned about? Do you have any similar anecdotes?

Had some ducks and swans that lived for bread near a canal a few years back.Swans would still hiss and flap their wings at you, especially if they had cygnets. But the ducks were not bothered unless they we're fighting over the bread.

When I visited Crandon Park on an island across from downtown Miami, the sandhill cranes were so tame I could almost have petted them.
