If we are doing beyond 2026, and noting South America for ZooTampa, then it should be noted that Safari Africa and Asian Gardens are slated for major remodels, likely before South America. Africa will be remodeled to add gorillas, a large multi-species savannah, overnight guest lodging, and lions. Asian Gardens will see the tigers remodeled extensively as well as other parts of the area, including bringing the Orangutans into that orbit and remodeling their habitat extensively.

I realize now that I neglected to include two other small projects coming next year: The Blunt-nose Leopard Lizard Conservation Center at Fresno Chaffee Zoo and the Kiwi Exhibit at Zoo Miami.

Thank you everyone for providing additional exhibits planned for the coming years, it can be tricky tracking down small developments in less-covered collections. I do ask that we focus on actual animal exhibits however; new hospitals and research centers are great, but those don't exactly classify as "exhibits" for the purpose of this thread.

Maybe I missed them but I don’t see Santa Ana Zoo’s Amazon’s Edge renovation. Based on my last visit, it appears to have come along pretty well and will try to make a visit again soon confirm development. Would Zoo Miami’s Tiger Exhibit fall under 2026 & beyond? I know they’re in the funding phase

I almost asked about the kiwi exhibit - that's also under the category of really unique exhibits I'm excited for!

It doesn't look like there's news about ABQ or North Carolina's hopes to expand in this department so far.

According to this city press release Phase 1 of ABQ's Australian complex is supposed to be finished in "early 2024" - that being the Little Blue Penguins and lorikeet aviary.

Oh that's good to hear! IIRC it was originally planned to be finished and open by now, but I haven't seen any updates about it on their social media since sometime last year.

On top of this, the newly remodeled Australia section should be opening this year, with phase 1 being a remodeling that’s nearly complete and will add new species of shore bird and Little Blue Penguin. This is intended for spring 2024. Phase 2 has an intended date of Winter 2024.
