I visited for the first time on Sunday. Thought it was a nice little zoo with lots of potential to expand. A few of the enclosures looked in need of repair but overall the enclosures provided a decent amount of space for the animals they contained. Sadly the zoo now has no Arctic Foxes due to the remaining one passing away this month. There is also a new £3m tropical house planned for the zoos alligators and it will provide home to some new species. The park also hopes to have snow leopard cubs soon.

It is a nice zoo, just hard to work with I guess, being on a mountain. £3m for the new Tropical House! I knew a new house was planned but £3m! Who told you this?

One of the parks keepers. I thought it sounded a lot considering it relies on donations.

The tropical house has been on the cards for several years now. £3 million is a lot more than I expected but hopefully it wont be long until something comes of it. Has construction started yet?
Agreed with your summery though. Very nice collection on the whole, some of the newer enclosures are very nice looking with just the odd below par enclosure here and there. Shame to see the Arctic Foxes go though, I dont think they're a partically common zoo species anymore.
