I have some pictures of the new cheetah exhibit, I'll upload later if i remember. There is a plan of the new cheetah exhibit in the galley so if you do i qucik search you will get a rough idea of what it will look like.

Cheetahs are now using the off-show out door dens,the croc enclosure looks like it will not be ready for the bank holiday weekend.
 
I was at the Zoo on Saturday. The croc pools look a couple of weeks off. There was still a fair bit of rubble around and a guy was clearing it out of the areas which will be planted (which is a sign of some effort as there's usually no-one doing that sort of job on a Saturday). By now the planted areas may be full of compost and being planted up, but I expect they'll want to give the plants a little time to establish.
The water in the pools was a little cloudy and I think they may need some time for the concrete to leach out any alkali - so I agree with zoogiraffe.

The male cheetahs have access to their paddock. The other one has not been finished yet.

Staff are still working in the crocodile enclosure. Compost has been put in the plant areas, and the disused ramp has partially been removed.
 
Nope, there is nothing wrong with linking to the photo ... in fact its great as i can see how many folks have visited it and where they were linked from! :-)

There would have been copyright issues if you had saved it from flickr and uploaded to your own gallery.

I tend not to post too many photos on the galleries here, i have done a few but its so much easier to upload direct to flickr and link to that!

I have just seen the pictures with the new viewing area (glass viewing) I must go soon and check it out!
 
cheetah exhibits.

These new exhibits look good. I like the small grassy platform which forms the roof of the shelter(?) allowing them a vantage point from which to scan around their surroundings..

Pertinax, The shelters are supposed to be cubbing dens and are included in all enclosures. While the photo's show how good the new enclosures are, they do seem to take your breath away when viewing them for the first time.
 
the cheetah exhibit looks great, so different to the old ones. where is the new crocodile exhibit?
 
markun, the croc exhibit is in the same place as the former gator and dwarf croc pool in the tropical realm
 
Croc enclosure

I have photo's of the new croc enclosure (its completely finished from what i can see, but no croc's as yet) but I don't know how to upload them in this thread, if anyone is interested please can they tell me how to do it

The simplest way would be to load them into the gallery and then go from there...
 
ok, pics of croc enclosure are uploaded now in the gallery, tried to then post on here but too much of a mess to do
