Yes I got an email from Phoenix Zoo which confirms they are open and monitoring (as indicated in the above post).

Virginia Aquarium, ZooAmerica, Beardsley, all are open but monitoring.

Turtle Back, Virginia Living Museum, Mystic Aquarium have no mention of it on their social media, but have been doing posts in the last day or two promoting events taking place in the next couple of days.

Elmwood Park is closed until the 27th.
Disney's Animal Kingdom is included in the disney park closures.
I was thinking about that too about how the DAK would be open but then saw news articles about their Disney World and Disneyland parks closing to the public. It’s much bigger and worse than I thought if a multi-million dollar conglomerate will actually close down their businesses temporarily losing out on millions. I’m still set to go to SDZSP next Friday for their event but I’m keeping my ears and eyes close to the ground to see about traveling to San Diego via Amtrak.

If any of you will be traveling to zoos or aquariums or any other large gatherings in the coming weeks, I wish you well and will pray for you all of us to be safe. I’m glad to have gotten to know some of you through the past months and want you all to be well if you travel or don’t, also extend it to your families as well. Be safe boys and girls!

Unfortunately I wouldn't count on it at this point... Numerous events and buildings/parks are now cancelled and closed in San Diego county. :(

I know I’m already assuming the worse situation and luckily I haven’t bought any train tickets yet which is one less cost to carry :(

I think that, whether zoos issue a press release or not, we can take it as a given that every zoo in the world is ‘monitoring’ the situation.
I agree but so far this thread seems only be concerned about zoos that issue press releases.

The Bronx Zoo is very large, and at most times, there aren't enough people for it to be closely packed and crowded on all the outside pathways and exhibits. However, all the buildings are another matter. They must be watching attendance and counting on fewer than 50 people moving through any one space at a time. They probably figure, rightly, that no one would pay the ticket price if the buildings were not accessible.

I find it rather disturbing that I have not received a member's newsletter announcing the NZP's closure, but they DID send out a member's newsletter this morning to advertise and sell tickets for its fundraiser BITE on 5/20.

While the zoo may be open by then, it sends a disturbing message that fundraising is more important than an important source of revenue, its FONZ membership, or the average citizen in terms of notification AND it suggests the possibility that the zoo could be opened for a fundraiser, but not for the general public. Zoos and museums often close early for fundraising activities but NOT when the public is otherwise prohibited from attending at any time. This is a major misstep for NZP, the zoo paid for by the average citizen and operated without admission fee in their interest.

All three SeaWorld as well as Busch Gardens are open, only SeaWorld San Diego has cancelled shows. Given Disneyland, Disneyworld, and Universal parks have closed, it may not be long before they have to close as well.

SDZ and the Safari park remain open, one of the few attractions in San Diego to do so.
