It's time again for everyone's favorite completely objective and non controversial popularity contest!
Every year USA Today hosts a public poll for readers to vote on their favorite zoo, safari park, aquarium, and zoo exhibit. You can vote every day once until May 24 at noon and the winners are announced on June 4. Here are the nominees for this year:

The Zoo list is mighty intriguing to me... I know SD gets a wrap for being overrated and I actually agree with some opinions as to why. But to not crack the top 10 spots is so odd and very out of place. My main vote made it is the SDZ Safari Park and I’m glad it’s there!

It's all about marketing and social media. SDZ doesn't constantly post about it and ask for votes like some of the other places do.

I think you’re right, I saw only one posting on their Twitter page about 3 weeks ago and never since much. But the people voted and I know every zoo has a special place in everyone’s heart :)
