very old German orangs?

As far as I'm concerned germany is really quite somewhere when it comes to very old orangs. They are so I get the impression the best country in Europe as far as orangutan longevity is concerned.

I don't know any examples, but this thread is if you like a thread for people to write about very old orangs of both the past and the present.

I don't think the country has anything to do with the longvity of any ape or other animals, I would say, it depends on how the apes are kept but unless this point, all apes can reach a high age even in poor living conditions, so as like as all other animals.

The oldest Sumatra-Orang-Utans in Germany are:

1,0 Charly at Frankfurt Zoo, born ~1957
0,1 Elsi at Gelsenkirchen Zoo, born ~1958
0,1 Djambi at Frankfurt Zoo, born ~1959
0,1 Bella at Hamburg Tierpark, born ~1961

The oldest Bornean Orang-Utan is Telok at Krefeld Zoo, born ~1961.

Thank you. It is amazing how long these orangs have lived for! Yes I'm aware there isn't neccissaryily just the fact they're in Germany which helps with the longevity, but Germany are doing really well with orang longevity and as far as I'm concerned no-one can argue with that.
