1.0 Emu Shilling died on December 12th aged 17 years. The zoo's other Emu, 1.0 Lester, died sometime earlier this year aged 21 years.

This has potential to be the best rhino exhibit at a traditional zoo. I especially love that the train goes right by indoor barn! Do we know how big it is?

I think they might be even aiming at keeping at least one adult pair and perhaps even a second cow for breeding.

NOTA. BENE: They have been quite successful now with their white rhinos (1.2 breeding group with their calves). I am not sure how many they still have on site beside the breeding bull and 2 breeding cows. Anyone ... have more information ..., be my guest to tell!
