Virginia Zoo Virginia Zoo news

Flipito the male Southern tamandua is a new resident at the zoo. Today was his first day out on exhibit (he is in or near the exhibit building). I knew the zoo was acquiring tamanduas so I'm very excited it's finally been announced!
 
This zoo keeps giving me reasons to want to visit it again. Now if they'd only get their binturongs back on exhibit and then I'd be there in a heartbeat.
 
The Red Panda cubs are on exhibit.
2 African Crowned Cranes hatched yesterday in the Bongo/Crowned Crane habitat.
 
I am hoping to go to this zoo on my birthday this week so I'll be sure take photos of the new animal residents since last year.
