Just tried this myself. I quite like the subtitle of basic information (species, details of individual, enclosure and date) and then the comment could explain why the photo was posted. But I don't think we can be dogmatic about this.Ok here is a change when uploading photos that everyone should know about. The title appears at the top as always. However, when I added a description I expected it to appear in the reply section as before. Instead, it appears as a subtitle under the main title. So be sure to post the photo first, then enter a description as a reply to the photo (in other words as the first comment).
Just a quick question; do we no longer have a 'New Comments' button, or have I just not found it yet?
I see the 'New Posts' and the 'New Media' which seems to be equivalent to what was 'New Photos' on the old site, but on the old site there was a button specifically for photos with new comments on them, so do we have a button for that on the new site?
Further to this, a quick investigation reveals there isn't a way of doing this currently - so I'll have to write that functionality myself. Will take a couple of weeks for me to get to that.
In the meantime, there is a list of recent comments on the gallery list:
View attachment 286026
(But I do note that there is no date or user information associated with it ... I'll try and fix that too so that it works more like the New Posts box on the home page)
Is there a way to view a longer list of recent comments than just the most recent four shown there?
I have posted a couple of bits in the Belgian & French forums, to which i have attached publicity photos from said zoos FB pages. am I ok to do this?
As well as perhaps our first video on the Chester thread![]()
