Bryn/Flynn was born at Thrigby Wildlife Gardens in 1999. He and his sister, Daphne moved to Welsh Mountain as young adults. He died in August 2016 aged 17

Am I right in thinking Daphne(Zena) died first?
Yes. She died sometime before the arrival of the sister's (Keisha and Kinnara) from Krefeld in November 2013

Two different litters of the 4 litters born to dam, Sutra, sired by Mayjubli.
Flynn/Brynn was born September 1998 and had a female littermate called Finty (died Nov 2013).
Dapne (renamed 'Zeta' after Catherine Zeta Jones) was born 11 November 1996 in a litter of 1.2 (1.1 did not survive). Daphne died in 2012.

I did hear a rumour that Bryn & Zeta were hybrids, was this ever confirmed?
Yes, they were not pure Sumatran. Their father was imported to Thrigby from somewhere in Asia. He was later (after they had bred from him) found to have Malayan ancestry. All his offspring were then removed from the breeding programme. Two male cubs from the same pair had gone to Paignton. They were also excluded and later rehomed at Drayton Manor

@Nisha I believe that a breeding pair of Sumatran Tigers are now in residence at Welsh Mountain Zoo. I don’t know/remember the identity of the female.I know that the Male is the Son that the late Melarti and Jae-Jae parented in one of their trio of litters. I have to confess I have forgotten the Male Tigers name but I believe it maybe Nickell.
The current Welsh Mountain pair are:
Budi (M) born February 2014 at ZSL London Zoo (Jae-Jae X Melati)
Kinnara (F) born March 2012 at Zoo Krefeld (Beludra X Sutera)
The male is Budi , the female Kinnara
When did Kinnara's sister end up? The sisters arrived together
Keisha went from Welsh Mountain to Terra Natura Benidorm. She is now at Parken Zoo in Sweden
As far as I can see, I can't see any trace of the prove that Sutra or Mayjubli are hybrids...

Sutra was a pure Sumatran. She was born at Krefeld
Mayjubli came from Kuala Lumpur and was not pure. See page 10 of this thread for further discussion Sumatran Tigers in Europe
What is to happen with the old enclosure?I had an update email earlier from the zoo's Silk Road Project saying that it is complete and that their snow leopards had moved from their old enclosure and settled into their new home last month
I'm not sure sorry, I haven't been able to visit for a while but had updates from the project as I had donated towards it.
I would like to see it renovated and hopefully house Pallas cats or another Himalayan species. Cannot remember if there's enough space to extend the enclosure, could any regular visitors enlighten me?
