West Midland Safari and Leisure Park West Midland Safari Park 2020

Elephant lodges are set to open on the 14th of February in 2021. The bookings were open for about 3 hours yesterday before they had to close the bookings due to the rush booking. Cheetah Lodge has however, not been on the list of bookings due to incomplete construction. Wmsp have also confirmed that all profit will be invested in the major redevelopment of the drive area. All exciting news!
@bintarong is the new drive through African Elephant enclosure with the new Elephant herd members still expected to open next spring?

Unsure at this current point. Personally I believe the park will rush to get a viable bull to breed with the girls, however the costs would be huge but the new lodges help pay for this.

Means that a elephant redevelopment is on too?

My apologies the cheetah lodge is now available with WMSP's social media confirmimg booking along with elephant Lodge. These will be a one in a kind for Europe and are due to have there own restaurants and dining area separate.

  • Elephant redevelopment began across the national lock down with majority of foundations now laid and access to power and water connected. The house will be finished last with the paddock practically finished.
  • However the cheetah development appears to be more seculed. There has been no photos or access in the area even possibly only available to the lodges. There is also no road network to the new zone possing another redevelopment of the African grassland maybe?
  • I'm going into an experience soon and with a few contacts will hopefully get some behind the scenes photography like last time!
