What animals have you been “ attacked” by

Fireants, oh so many fire ants.
Sea nettle (jellyfish)
Moon jelly
Red paper wasp
Yellowjacket wasp
Scorpion (unsure of the species, most likely a striped bark scorpion as they are the most common in Texas)
Western diamondback rattlesnake. Struck me in the ankle but I was wearing heavy leather workboots.
Domestic goose. They're mean muthas.
My cat has made me need to go on antibiotics twice from bites. She's normally sweet, but her way of letting you know you've been petting her too long and it's annoying her is to bite you, and sometimes she can break the skin. Once she got me on the top of the hand where there isn't much meat, nicked and inflamed a nerve, plus got infected. Doctor gave me vicodin (I only took one the first day, and was able to manage the pain after that with ibuprofen), an injection of antibiotic, and antibiotic pills. He then drew a line around the red swollen area with a permanent marker, and said if the swelling or redness crossed the line, I'd have to be checked into the hospital with IV antibiotics.

My worst animal injury was when I was bitten by a donkey who would not let go (this happened in February 2021 and I still have a scar). I have also been bitten by a goose. In zoos I have been bitten by a quokka, attacked by a brolga, pecked by emus and ostriches, and bitten by a spoonbill in the same aviary on two separate occasions years apart. In the wild, I have been bitten by a king parrot (that one hurt!), blackbirds, Indian Mynahs, (all these birds were as I was rescuing them from my chicken coop) many skinks and a few spiders. I have been stung by many hundreds if not thousands of ants, several bees and a wasp.

I don't recall having serious injuries made by some animals, but I do remember being swarmed and atleast bitten several times by some ants, freaks me a lot.

Dog bite, on my backside, not funny at the time
Rabbit bite on my right hand, that really hurt
Cotton Top Tamarin bites, on my head hands and legs, the female who was lovely and tame, suddenly attacked me.I put this down to her being pregnant ,never went in with her again
Numerous wasp stings
Quite a few Parakeet bites
Ferret bite to my nose, I bled alot ,my son thought it was hilarious
Several snake bites, non venomous. The worst was by a 12 foot Burmese Python to my right forarm, took a bit of shifting that one .

How could I forget about being bitten by the only Brown Skua in captivity? I have also had my hair pulled out by macaws.

About a year and a half ago I was at the Lincoln Park Zoo when I was the victim of a brutal attack from a wild animal. As I was crossing the bridge between the waterfowl ponds, I was suddenly slammed in the back of the head by what felt like a sharp object. It was only for a brief moment and I quickly turned around to find it was a red-winged black bird that descended on me, digging it's feet into my head. It wasn't until after the "attack" that I realized there were numerous signs dotted around the area warning visitors that the birds were nesting nearby and were highly territorial.

Afterwards, I stood by for a few minutes to watch as the same bird continued to dive bomb several more unsuspecting visitors, much to the amusement of myself and other bystanders. I noticed it only would target guests that had darker hair (like myself) or were wearing something dark around their head. I'm just happy I lived to tell the tale. ;)

I've been divebombed by Red-winged Blackbirds before many times but I've noticed the ones around Chicago seem far more vicious then elsewhere. The most vicious attacks I've gotten were around Lincoln Park and the Museum Campus. I wonder why they're so much more protective there.

Nearly forgot, got pecked in the face, half inch from my left eye, by a Bali Starling during a visit to Newquay zoo whilst in the tropical house

Update....had my left ear mangled by my male Red Bellied Tamarin today

When I was about 6, my grandma took me to this kangaroo farm, where there were animals like lemurs, llamas, and roos, and you were given pellets that you could feed to the animals. So I went to give a wallaby a pellet, but I got too close, and he grabbed me in his hands for a split-second before I ran away to my grandma. I kept my distance from all the other animals for the rest of the day.

Goats, rabbits and Syrian hamsters have bitten me.

A Palawan Peacock Pheasant and a Hadada Ibis both thought that my feet were the food they'd been looking for all their lives.

I was attacked by a hornbill (I've forgotten the species). The keeper said it meant he liked me, I'd prefer to be safe and not so liked.

My most embarrasing animal attack was having my knuckles head butted by a Clawed Jird when I attempted to change the food dish.

Several dog breeds, mainly German shepherds when I worked at an animal clinic

Some feeding and defensive bites from snakes, not really an attack though

Cat bites and scratches at the vet job

Chased by a muscovy duck

A yellow jacket, even though little me deserved it

When I was a child my dad had a mean lovebird that wouldn't hesitate to bite when you got near it

Dogs. Oh, so many dogs have chased, me, and I never seem to learn that the more you run, the more they will chase you.

Pallas Squirrel. They are vicious, especially if you are feeding them.

South American Sea Lion. This was a prank by the Aquarium. Hakkeijima Sea Paradise's BTS tour of the penguins, seals, and sea lions is filled with educational talks and animal demonstrations. The keeper kept telling us how South American Sea Lions are dangerous and are known to attack humans. At the end, when we were exiting the sea lion area, the male SASL charged toward us with the cage door wide open, and me being a kid at the time I was running around the tiny space in front of the enclosure. Of all the thoughts that were going on in my head, the one that was going through the most was "Just close the frickin' door, keeper!". It was hilarious.

Mosquitos. I hardly need to explain, do I? Every. Single. Summer. Every. Day.
Ants. I have been bitten only a couple times.

Common Octopus. This was kinda my fault because I was handling it and it seemed a bit annoyed so it bit me.

Leopard gecko. They are usually calm but there was this one individual who was very fidgety, and when he bit my finger, he also peed and pooped on me.

Hamster. It was just a little nip when I was feeding my hamster.

Chinese pond Turtle. My two turtles (Elvis and Poppy), both bit me when they were a few weeks old, and when it was just a little nip.

My palm got bit by a dog
A cat scratched my finger and made it bleed
Another dog bit my leg (ow)
My toe got pecked by a Rhea at a farm
And I was at Saltburn and got pecked by a Razorbill that was hunting for food
:D

Hit on the back by a defensive Indian Eagle Owl.
Bitten by various birds when handling them. Savagely attacked by various penguins. Bitten by every Russian Hamster I’ve ever handled……

Got bitten on the finger by a Buff-banded Rail - to be fair, it was kind of my fault. For some reason, I thought it a good idea to offer it my finger to see what it would do. Usually Buff-banded Rails are quite skittish, but this was in a tourist area where they are used to being fed by people and are thus much bolder.

Oh, and I have been swooped by numerous Masked Lapwings. Never have they made physical contact though.

Plus the occasional bite from my cat. Usually just play bites so they don't break the skin, but sometimes he can draw a little blood if he gets especially excited.
