What are your favorite animals at your zoo?

It's the tigers, no doubt. I love tigers but my zoo, the Pittsburgh Zoo, had a rhino birth in September I have to give props for that animal too. Rhinos are such great animals.

My favorite groups overall have to be felines, monotremes, canines, apes, ungulates (hippos, elephants, tapirs, rhinos, manatees/dugongs), and ratites. I'm also a sucker for anything that's strange and/or defies nature like the Platypus, Capybara, Whale Shark, and Komodo Dragon

Awesome list...what about bears? Polar bears are gorgeous animals too and sun bears. I just dowloaded a ton of zoo photos today to the computer. I'm going to have to post a couple on here. You know what animal I like too- walruses (for some reason).

I forgot to add bears to my list. I love walruses and want to see one really badly as I haven't in years. Penguins for me, too. I've seen Humboldt, African, and Magellanic so far and I'm going to the Central Park Zoo tomorrow so, hopefully, I'll get to see King, Chinstrap, and Gentoo Penguins, too.

I love the Central Park Zoo! I was there last year and their red panda is really, really cute. Have you ever been to the St. Louis Zoo? They have a wonderful penguin house.

I've also been to the NY Aquarium, Gatorland, and Disney's Animal Kingdom but that was when I was younger (too young to remember much) and before I started making this site. I have pictures for the S. National Zoo, Beardsley Zoo, and ZooAmerica (I have pics for all but not all I took. Don't worry I tell the difference) and I do have two pics for the Bronx Zoo but I haven't uploaded them yet.

Now you have a great site, I love looking at zoo pics. If you get a chance tell me how you liked the Central Park Zoo.

Not all of those pictures are mine, some came from different sites. The ones that are mine have a bolded plus under them (+). I cite the other websites the pictures I use came from.

At the moment it would be the M rusa. Sambar a very close second.
They pretty much come in brown paper bags, but their behaviour is just so interesting.

At the moment my favourite animals at London Zoo are the aquatic caecilians, the titis and the aye-ayes, but I haven't seen the latter for several years.

My favourite individual animal was a hand-reared plumbeous redstart. I also miss the hoolock gibbons, douc langur, giant armadillo and several other animals I saw when I was younger.

What are your..

Suggest Moluccan Rusa ['rusa' means deer in {perhaps} Indonesian, 'babi' is pig, giving you babirusa.
Does anyone bother about birds around here?
