Exmoor Zoo What did you think of it?

Close, but they represent the Exmoor Beasts not the Dartmoor Beasts.

Yes they are Humbolt Penguins :) kept in a freshwater lake.

I visited the zoo last week and was very impressed. It looks like they have got the male Black Leopard as there were two beasts in the enclosure, separated, so that was very exciting!

Saw a baby Meerkat, and 3 baby Ring tailed Lemurs!!

Also does anyone know the name of the Puma?

I went yesterday, the wife and i thoroughly enjoyed this place, we saw a couple of firsts, The Binturong, Tayra, and our personal favourite Pedro the Hairy Armadillo. The wife also enjoyed Guinea Pig fishing. We also thought the staff were very polite, and their talks were very informative. It's a bit out of the way but we will be returning in a year or two.

Hey, the puma is called Pinky. She is an amazing & beautiful specimen, proper majestic!

There are indeed 2 "beasts" here, Ebony the female, who is just to the side of the main enclosure & Zoysa the male, who is in the main enclosure...however they do get rotated.

Guinea Pig Fishing HAHA! Often times I'm hosting the weird & wonderful world of Exmoor Zoo's Guinea Pig Fishing. I'm afraid if ya dunno what it is you'll have to pay us a visit ;)

In terms of freshwater penguin pools, I am wondering whether Sewerby Park Zoo has its humboldt penguins in freshwater.

Yeah we got 2 Diana's now, a female & youngster (male)...I was just wonderin if u meant the older male, who (a long time before i started) moved elsewhere.

Yes, I meant the old male (as that's the only one I knew about).

So now can you find out;

1. Which Zoo the old male went to?

2. Where the two current ones have come from?

Thanks in advance for any info you can come up with.;)

The original pair produced an infant a couple of years ago, I had assumed that it was mother and son left after the male had either departed or died....

Diana Monkeys.

ISIS have consistently listed Exmoor as having 1.0 for a long time now. I wasn't aware they had a female & male offspring instead!

I'm trying to establish any recent movements of this species, particularly between those held by Marwell, Paignton, Exmoor, Newquay, Druisillas and London that may have taken place. I opened a thread on it but got no response.

London are now finally listed as having a male(now 1.2) but I don't yet know where it came from.

the diana monkey male has been gone for nearly a year and a half, filou the little male is nearly ready to be transferred to another zoo. newquay zoo have a troop of males i believe.
ps the puma isnt called pinky she is called FHY2 (fuh2 said like this)

Newquay have either two females or (possibly now) a pair.
Anyone know where the original Exmoor pair came from, and where the old male went to (or did he die?)

ISIS 1.0 is obviously wrong anyway.
