It's not a question of saving the password, it's getting that far. The layer that pops up with the username and password form fields disappears whenever you try to type anything in it. This on most (all I've tried) flavours of Android ('phone and tablet).

Yikes! I can't say that I have had that problem on iPhones or an iPad. See? Even this forum knows that Apple is best! :D (*runs and ducks for cover*)

Some updated stats for you, for the month of January 2013:

Operating System - interestingly, iOS has now clearly overtaken MacOS

Browser - still a lot of people using Internet Explorer, although good to see Chrome in the lead now

Mobile - 17.5% of visits to the site are now on a mobile device, up from 12% in January 2012

Mobile Devices - Apple still dominant

In case anyone is wondering, I use Windows 7 + Chrome on the desktop (although I also run other browsers for testing) and my mobile devices are a Samsung Galaxy S3 and an ASUS TF201 Transformer Prime tablet. That being said, I've set the analytics tool to ignore any traffic coming from my local network, so my visits to the site aren't reflected in the stats.

I use my laptop even though it can often be a pain in the ass. It's also been branned in my brain that Internet Explorer is the one to used so that's what I use although from my few experiences Google Chrome is better. I see no big reasons to change, though, so I'll stick to my Internet Explorer thank you very much. I've been using Google Chrome a bit more lately, however.

Okay, here's a reason to change: Internet Explorer is the least secure browser out there and is the most likely to get you hacked or introduce a trojan/virus to your computer. That's pretty much the biggest reason there is and the only one you really need to justify stopping using it.

It is also the least standards-compliant, so web developers need to jump through all kinds of hoops to make it work for their websites - sometimes they just don't bother and leave it broken.

Finally, browsers like Chrome are much faster and give a much better user experience - although if your computer is really slow or doesn't have enough memory, you're not going to notice much difference either way.

I'm responding to this post on Google Chrome.
Not used to the format and such but I suppose I'll get used to it. The spell check is a pretty nice thing on here that's not available on IE but that may get annoying when I'm typing in species names. Example: Saola (Pseudoryx nghetinhensis) Guess you can't see it but it's all one big red line on my laptop.

I mostly log in from my work computer since it's where I have the most access. On rare occasion I'll use my android phone or my laptop at home. I used to have a nook color, but was never able to log in using it. Now that I have an iPad mini, I have no problem. :)

To log in through your (android) phone, click on a member's username (as if accessing their profile), enter your log-in details, click 'Remember me' and you're done. :)

I've been using my new iPhone 4S to access the forum more often, especially since I don't currently have my laptop.
