This thread is to see why the Ringling Brothers Center for Elephant Conservation became so silent, before the blackout of 2013 they were announcing the births of calves, the relocation of elephants to other facilities. The announced the pregnancies of Mala due in 2013, Bonnie due in 2013, Alana due in 2013/2014, Icky due in 2013/2014, and Sally and Shirley in 2016. But other then that no news was released.

I remember in 2016 they had social media channels including an IG but a year or two later they went offline.

They closed. It was talked about on here and there are plenty of articles talking about it and the reasons online. Here's an example one:

In 2017 the circus itself stopped operating due to heavy financial losses. Because of backlash about using elephants in circus performances, they retired all of their elephants to the center and then shortly following that announced that the entire circus would be permanently ending its shows. The remaining elephants started being moved to the White Oak Conservation Center, also in Florida, earlier this year:
