@zooman: Having just read your 'Coming to America' thread, I should emphasize that DWA mainly is worth a visit for a few rarities among mammals/reptiles, many rarities among birds (incl. several you wont see anywhere else), and their largest rainforest hall - it is quite high so a pair of small binoculars can be useful. Looking only at the aquarium side, it is quite good but doesn't match the top US aquariums and the small number of larger animals like giant otter, jaguar and tree kangaroo have mediocre exhibits (size). It´s only a few km/miles from Dallas Zoo and can be done in a few hours - depending on how crazy about animals you are
