As for the question of "smallest cat" it basically comes down to whether one is talking average weight (in which case rusty-spotted cat wins) or average length (in which case black-footed cat wins); kodkod comes into the question because these are intermediate in both length and weight, being shorter than Rusty-spotted Cat and lighter than Black-footed Cat, but heavier than Rusty-spotted Cat and longer than Black-footed Cat.
Ah, science, where no one can decide. :p

I voted in this one for the Flat Headed Cat although I thought I would be voting for the fishing cat. I really like both, but the flat headed cat is more neglected in conservation and, though I have never seen any of them, I would rather see such a rare species in captivity like the flat headed cat than a still rare species but that can be found in some zoos in Europe and North America. I see Fishing Cats more stunning and beautiful than Flat Headed Cats but the other needs a major conservation interest and research, so that's why I voted for the flat headed cat.

Good comment @Jungle Man and I do agree that the flat headed cat is neglected in conservation but I have to say that the fishing cat is and has been also pretty forgotten about by conservation too (sadly all small cats suffer from this lack of interest in comparison to their larger relatives).

Lots of problems facing this species with increasing levels of urbanization, drainage and habitat destruction of wetlands, snaring / bushmeat, human-wildlife conflict, shrimp farming etc across South Asia and South-East Asia.

There is a great NGO that I've heard about that works with them in Sri Lanka and tries to mitigate human-wildlife conflict and raise awareness of their situation.

I did the opposite, thought I was going to vote flat-headed but thought about it and picked fishing :)
