What is your favorite species of shrimp?

Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp, I've kept them before. They love to come over and run all over your hand and clean you when you're working in the tank. :)
 
Love shrimp ceviche and Shrimp Wonton. Almost in every beach, you'll find a tasty ceviche with loads of lemon. Also, I can say that I like fried shrimp and Pasta with shrimp. It is like chow mein but with shrimps. Just love shrimps, in the town I live, we have artificial pools for shrimps to grow, and to be harvested. They are exported to other countries of America every year.:):) Tasty.:D:D

Great stuff shrimp ceviche isn't it ? Lemon makes all the difference, haven't tried the Panamanian ceviche yet but bet its good.

Fried shrimps are good, in Asturias in Northern Spain you can get camarones fritos in most restaurants with a glass of strong sidra.

Oh, talking about Spain, how could I have forgot !...shrimp and chorizo paella, that is seriously good eating!
 
Oh , I almost forgot, not technically shrimps of course but they are shrimplike, I love those little pink gelatine rasberry flavoured candies that are in the shape of shrimps and that are sold in little bags...they are delicious :D

I'd say my favourite are the cleaner shrimps too! I've kept them also, so cool watching them clean your hands. You do have to be careful to make sure your hands are clean first, soap residue and other contaminants can hurt or even kill the shrimp. Mine would eat frozen mysis and sinking pellets straight from my hand. And when they're not cleaning, they do that funny wiggle dance. Mine didn't clean the fish much, only saw it happening once.

As for a favourite shrimp species: mine would be the Sexy Shrimp (Thor amboinensis) - that name combination! Maybe they should be renamed Thor chrishemsworthi to pay more justice to the "sexy" aspect. However, that would probably entail a major taxonomic split, including T. tomhiddlestoni, T.chrisevansi or, as an upcoming version, T. natalieportmani.

I think shrimp are fascinating crustaceans and I think a lot of them look cool. But I can’t decide which kind of shrimp I like the best; Peacock Mantis, Harlequin, or deep fried :p
