And what I consider chavvy zoos you tend to find white rhinos.

So by that judgement, of the zoos I have visited, Burgers, Madrid, Colchester, Knowsley and Münster must all be chavvy. But they are all also massively different zoos.

Ironically, White Rhinos are my second favourite (I voted for Indian Rhinos). I'm surprised at how few votes White Rhinos have - but I can imagine it's more about people liking other species more. I wonder how many people had White Rhinos as their second favourite - I certainly do!

My favorite species is the Javan Rhino. I know they aren't likely to be in captivity anytime soon, but with their skin that looks like scales when seen closeup and the fact that they are older as a species than the Indian rhino they are so cool. Also they can grow almost as big as an Indian Rhino as well as the fact that they have that extra fold on their neck.

If this poll was for zoo specimens only I would say Indian Rhino. They are especially awe-inspiring with their armor plating and impressive size but also the fact that they are like a rhino-hippo hybrid with their long lower incisor teeth that they have I find so cool. A final reason would be Ive been lucky to pet and get close up to them at a couple zoos where I didn't want to leave when the experiences were over.

If White Rhinos had longer legs so they were taller they would probably be my favorite African species. It's cool that they have two horns but they're always on land unlike their Asian cousins that are to some degree semi aquatic. I would love to use one to trim my grass. They are great natural lawn mowers with those wide lips!

I voted Sumatran, I missed one atPort Lympne. I had the choice one day of either Port Lympne or Howletts, and beleiving that the Sumatran had already gone, I went to Howletts. By the time I got around to visiting Kent the year after, the Sumatran had really gone.

Life was so hard before zoochat :D

I voted the same, but sadly I missed them at Port Lympne by several more years! That was before phones had the Internet!!

I did this at Edinburgh with Bertus and Samir and it was amazing!
