What is your job?

I am now retired, so I suppose my job title is Grumpy Old Man.

My first job while I was at college was working on a food factory, mostly boxing up beefburgers.

Then I worked as quality control on another food factory specialising in potatoes and vegetables, but this place was small and most people did what needed to be done despite their official job.

In 1984 I gave up work to become a full time carer for my seriously ill parents. I continued to do this until the death of my mother 5 years ago.

Unofficially I have been a photographer, baby-sitter, gardener, zoo keeper and decorator.

I’m a Greyhound Adoption Program Assessor. I assess retired greyhounds for their suitability as pets and to make sure that they are safe to be unmuzzled around other dogs in public and perform behavioural rehabilitation with those that aren’t.

Currently in the transitionary period between my junior and senior years in secondary school and working a part-time job as a cleanup guy in the meat prep room at a local grocery store to make some money.
Where do I wanna go? Preferably into zookeeping and then, should everything pan out, running my own zoo. This actually leads to a question for those who have experience. What types of uni/college programs should I apply for if I want to pursue zookeeping, animal husbandry and (hopefully) zoo management?
