For now, the only pet I have is our family's 5 year old Portugese water dog named Lila. Hopefully in the future, when I'm an adult and I can make my own decisions, I'll be able to acquire a much larger collection.

2 goliath stick insects
3 zebra millipedes
4 guinea pigs
14 colonies of various isopods
15 fish tanks (african cichlids, american cichlids, tropical community fish, goldfish, neocaridina and caridina shrimp, mystery snails)
Would absolutely love to get some snakes, spiders, and scorpions in the future.

At the moment I only have some fishes, including a clouded catshark, some sculpins and a flounder.

As i have said before, all zoos have highs and lows. Sadly, our last remaining Common Marmoset was euthanised due to age related illness. Gertie was 14 years old (Bertie,her partner died almost 12 months to the day).However, we experienced a high on Sunday when 3 Prevost squirrel kits were born.

A special day here today, its been one week since the Spreo Starling s hatched two chick's, FIRST ever breeding here!! Really happy, fingers crossed they survive.
Due to my graduation in the winter, I am in the process of downsizing part of my collection to make moving easier. The following animals I am keeping are:
The goal is to renovate and improve enclosures for all of my current animals, but I will not being doing that until after I move so I do not have to tear them apart.
- 0.2 Leopard Geckos
- 1.0 Sarasin's Giant Gecko
- 1.0 Gargoyle Gecko
- 0.0.1 Northern Blue Tongue Skink
- 1.0 Axolotl
- 10 gallon community tank - Betta, Cherry Shrimp, Panda Corydoras, Mystery Snails, Bladder Snails

Kudos to you for sending the Mali to a breeding project. Both of my uromastyx are captive bred and I am very proud of that. The last time I attempted captivity of a wild-caught he died of kidney disease quickly.
Thank you. She was just given to the breeder over the weekend. Fingers-crossed I will see updates somewhere on successful breeding from her.

Three more baby Geoffroy's marmoset born here at Strathmorezoo. The last three litters ,only one baby successfully reared (unfortunately/fortunately) depending how you look at it. Probably, because the alpha female is now eleven years old
I have an incredibly stupid (but cute and lovable-survival mechanism) mini schnauzer
and 2 Mohave desert tortoises (Gopherus Agassizii)

I have since acquired a red-crowned kakariki, Cyanoramphus novaezelandiae, and a plum-headed parakeet, Psittacula cyanocephala. Both males, and of course, both captive born and bred. Kakarikis are the only New Zealand birds well established in the foreign pet trade (though technically there are some privately owned keas in Europe and one was sold through Japan a few years ago too.)
It will take about two years for the plum-head to molt into full adult plumage, example below.
There is only one of each in my care, but there are as well several budgerigars, which in my experience - when brought up with other birds - are very gregarious and perform very well as a flock-surrogate and provide a wonderful amount of social interaction to the rarer species.

I have 25 birds and 41 reptiles/amphibians, a few rodents and a lot of aquatics (fish and invertebrates, fresh and saltwater.) I don't have an individual count for those but I have more than 80 species in total counting everything from a parakeet down to an isopod!

In the UK we usually name the Scarlet Chested Parakeet, "Splendid Parakeet ",although I think that Scarlet Chested Parakeet, describes it better. I am a big fan of Plumheads, beautiful birds
