Was thinking about sea turtles today and wondered if any ZooChatter has seen all 7 species? Of course not all of them are in captivity but I'm pretty sure at least 5 of them are as of current.

Personally, I have only seen the green sea turtle but I'm lucky enough to have seen this species both in captivity as well as in the wild.

I've seen loggerhead, green, hawksbill, and both of the Ridley's in aquariums, have worked with loggerheads, and have seen loggerhead and green in the wild

For sure? Just the green sea turtle (in the wild and in captivity). However, I believe I could've seen both hawksbill and loggerhead back when I was a kid when my local zoo had an exhibit with one of each.

The same 5 as most, but I’ve seen 4/5 wild; just not olive ridley. If you split green sea turtle, I’ve also seen the other species (both captive and wild).

Where did you manage to see Leatherback?

Off the coast of Scotland, between Rùm and the Isle of Skye, in summer 1999 :) although population density is very low, a small number are spotted around Great Britain and Ireland every year (particularly during the summer and autumn months) having come here to feed on the large numbers of jellyfish found in our waters.

Green (almost any big aquarium: La Rochelle, Barcelona, Seaworld San Diego, Madrid zoo-aquarium, New England aquarium, Haus des Meeres), loggerhead (Loro Park, Birch Aquarium, Madrid Zoo-Aquarium, Pairi Daiza, New England Aquarium, Sevilla aquarium), Olive Ridley's (Pairi Daiza). Susprisingly I haven't seen any hawksbill despite being more common than Olive Ridley's in captivity according to the poll results.
