What Video Games Have You Been Playing Lately?

Lately, I've been playing a lot of Batman: Arkham Asylum. It is an excellent game, the graphics look great for 2009 standards. And it's a lot of fun navigating the map, since there's no main road, and you have to figure out alternate routes. And plus, it's always a treat having Kevin Conroy (RIP) voicing Batman and Mark Hamill voicing Joker.

Currently playing through Yakuza 0, I'm four chapters in and quite enjoying it - the silly side missions are especially fun.

Also bought the new expansion for Besiege this week and it's been a lot of fun creating different ships and submarines to tackle the missions.

I recently upgraded my PC, so I've been playing a little bit of everything, save for FPS. Been playing a lot of Portal Stories: Mel; I was inspired by a friend who was playing Portal 2 to finally get around to playing this one. I enjoy it and find myself thinking about playing the first two again sometime soon.

I'm a big fan of the Sherlock Holmes games from Frogwares. I'm almost finished with Crimes & Punishments (been trying to play all of the series in order when I can) and then I'll continue onward. Considered getting Chapter One during the Steam sale, but I've been trying to save money lately and decided against it. Someday...

Other games that are usually in normal rotation are Planet Zoo, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and an old but gold favorite of mine: The Sims 2.

I've been replaying Monster Sanctuary, a monster-catching game kind of like Pokemon. Unlike that game however, you fight with groups of 3 monsters and so proper team-building is essential so that each monster can support each other, brainstorming teams is fun and it's even more fun to see that your team is working as it should.

What really separates it from Pokemon however, is that all monsters in the game are good/usable in some way. While in other games you choose to leave behind monsters because they're weaker than the ones you meet later, here you do so because you've found another one that better suits your team and you can even return to them if you decide on another strategy.

I've played Deducto almost weekly ever since friend suggested this for a game night. Definitely a very funny experience.

My current obsession is Bugsnax, a wonderfully charming game with great characters and a fun premise. You play as as reporter travelling to the mysterious island of Snaktooth, where a group of explorers went in search of a new life. But the group disbanded after the expedition's leader went missing, now you have to solve the mystery and convince the group to come back to the settlement. And of course, catch the food-themed creatures that inhabit the island!

I highly recommend it!

I'm coming off of a huge Terraria kick, and trying to catch the Planet Zoo itch again, but right now Overwatch 2 is holding a lot of my attention. It's a game I love to hate and hate to love lol... I've been practicing a lot of Widowmaker which has been really enjoyable.

I'm cautiously eyeing Balatro. I'm waiting to see if Steam does a winter sale before I pick it up, but I think if I start playing it, I'll never stop.

Team Fortress 2 is amazing, hope Valve fixes the bot problem… aswell as a new update.
It has been mostly fixed since I wrote the post (Valve started to take an interest and actually removed bots for once:rolleyes:) but Valve has been very effective. I don't know if there's any actual updates apart from Community ones but a few months back the seventh comic has been confirmed!
