What Would you do when you do See Animal Right Activists ?

Animal rights activists appear ‘stupid’ because they’re often misinformed and focus on emotive language rather than factual based evidence.
Unfortunately, some of the zoo nerds and charismatic megafauna fans are none the wiser and just as emotional. In particular the die-hard fans of elephants, polar bears, big cats, dolphins and great apes. And the aforementioned zoo PR departments often reassure them in their woolgathering...

Frankly, I never met an anti-zoo activist in person.

My feeling is they are very rare, vocal out of proportion of people who support them, and seek people who have very little knowledge about zoos or animals in general to convince them and get a foothold in mainstream opinion.

A human equivalent of a coqui frog or a trumpet cicada, but not so cute.

I think what would really bug me is if they were genuinely putting people off going to the zoo because then they’re succeeding at what they want to do. I’d hate to think they’d get the attention they want and change people’s minds about going to the zoo. I’ve never seen it happen and I don’t really know what I’d do about it, but the thought has always bugged me.
